Fading Bliss was founded by Olivier, formerly of Redrum 4 and Dewback, and quickly joined by members from Innerfire and other Belgian acts. Initially covering songs by Paradise Lost, Tiamat, and Katatonia, the band soon began crafting original material inspired by the early '90s doom/gothic scene. Their sound blends atmospheric melancholy with crushing doom riffs and dual male/female vocals, evoking the spirit of bands like My Dying Bride, Theatre of Tragedy, and Moonspell.
