LORD KETIL
Lord Ketil is a French black metal band formed in 2006 in Lille, in the Hauts-de-France region. Originally a solo project by multi-instrumentalist Alkorne, the band embraces cold, dark, and raw black metal inspired by the old Norwegian scene, with lyrical themes steeped in darkness, Satanism, nature, medieval atmosphere, and blasphemous fear. After a hiatus following the first demo, Lord Ketil returned stronger with full-length releases, eventually expanding into a duo with Psycho (Hats Barn) on vocals from 2016 onward. Their sound blends unholy melodies, bleak riffs, and raw production, aiming to evoke frostbitten landscapes and unrestrained occult fury.
